A test site is more than an electrical connection. It is a place where apart from having a clear picture of the boundary conditions of each sea trial, it must provide an integrated vision of the concept development. Something which is especially important in the marine environment. Within the framework of the TRL+ project, a set of new technological services have been developed. Among them, the concept virtualization deserves to be highlighted.
Through two highly representative examples, the TRL+ project shows a new strategy where any kind of concept can be virtualized in order to couple laboratory test tank result with sea trials results. This strategy provides a unique consistent approach towards the extrapolation of the information obtained within the Bimep environment towards a concept performance validation in any other kind of site based on the potential outcomes from TRL+ approach.
